5 I'm sorry you worried about the gloves. They are yours now, you know, so anything you do with them is OK. Glad you got it back. Being sent "unassigned" would mean the quickest getaway of all with no waiting for a unit. I'm going to the Internal Revenue office here and fill out my blanks for refund. I think I'd like to have it all straight, even if I should be out of the country by March 10th. Yes, I wear my uniform all the time. And it's getting tighter, darn it! Too much Washington. Don is in uniform and looks very nice, although quite a bit heavier. Juliette, my roommate, is working out at St. Elizabeth's. How very glad I am to be at Walter Reed. I'm also glad that I feel as I do about the amputations, artificial palates, etc. Who ever would have thought it of me? Maybe I should have taken medicine after all! Love, Helen
