3 was awful! I wonder how Corinne will like Mary's visit. I also wonder if Mary will really go. It sounds like one of those things. "The Thibaults" is a series of French novels, by Roger du Gard (?) and is considered by many, including Prof. Bush, to be much better than Jules Romains' "Men of Good Will". I'm not at all sure of the author's name, as I may be thinking of a bridge. I didn't know they were translated and wonder if they all are or if only one volume or so. No, there are as many of my class around as have gone, I think. I run into them every few days. Two are at Walter Reed -- one permanently & one like me. Time for bed, Love, Helen P.S. Yes, we had "Guadalcanal Diary". Roberta didn't borrow it, did she? I vaguely remember loaning it to someone. H. F.
