2/10/44 Dear Mother, I had a street snapshot sent you (it may be a little while in coming) today and it should be interesting. The girl with me is Joyce Gale, my Assistant Field Director & my new "boss". I like her and the other three girls in the group very much. The other Recreation worker is Linden Anderson, a Texas girl who also had Basic Rec. You'll get my next salary check intact (74.70) as it wouldn't be apt to catch me. Then about $37 every 2 weeks till I'm elsewhere, when it will be $50 every 2 weeks. That will enable you to send in my tax return.
