Saving...
I bought another white slip & a light nightgown. We also got some odds & ends of recreational equipment. It was a little misty to be able to see extremely far from the Empire State, but the view was thrilling. After the war I'd like to go up at night. Tell June that here are the directions for the daisy knitter. At least, this is the way I remember it. Set the adjustable spokes about a half inch from the other. On second thought, I've forgotten how you wind the darn thing works. I think the directions are up in the attic. They are in a folded piece of paper that is yellow or tan. If you can't find them there ought to be some in some fancy work department. I'm a little disconnected in my writing because the chief nurse is using our mirror and talking to us. Two of the nurses have gone on pass, so Tommy & I are going to bed early. Tommy is the one from Cedar Rapids. I had nice letters from Mary & Roberta and will answer as soon as I can. Right now my correspondence with you is the only active one I'm keeping up. Love, Helen
