get to know it. It is unexpected luck to be able to write as I have been, and mail to me as been arriving without any hitch. I just dropped a note to Joyce's mother thanking her for the dinner and enjoyable afternoon at her house. She also sent several of her flower paintings back with us to brighten up whatever spot we have to use as a lounge or recreation hall. Col. Dyke said when I saw him in the mess hall a little while ago that he had had a letter from the Fowlers. [Dr. Willis Fowler of Iowa City SUI] The first I knew he was around was when I heard a voice saying "Helen are you getting enough to eat?" Time for a nap now. Love, Helen
