Saving...
After dinner we went to the Tower on a tour, after which we went with a couple of American fellows to London Bridge and to St. Pauls. Then we were tired so they put us on the subway and we went home. Walking was a joy, because the weather was beautiful and the leaves were popping out. There were some lovely pink blooms on small trees, maybe peach. [actually almond trees] The parks were full of rosy-cheeked children stumbling around with darling outfits on -- usually blue. Tell the girls we have been swamped with men. Whenever we ate at the officer's mess it was two of us with two officers, the same way at the bars, and a tour left us with a full quota. We got so we came home for relief. Well, enough for now, as the girls are coming in. I'll continue my narration later. Love, Helen
