Saving...
total of about seven hours, I think. Today being Sunday, the churches have been bursting into melodious pealings off and on all day. I love the pattern of sound. Right this minute a grey, medieval church across the street is running up and down the scale for all it is worth. I hope the wedgewood piece gets to you all right. Count it as a Mother's Day remembrance if it does. I heard from Louise Brotschi today, the one who had the trouble at Forest Glen. I was delighted to find that in spite of it she was in club in Newfoundland. I was afraid she'd not get out of the country. Well, it's almost time to go to a concert welcoming the Americans, so guess I'd better fix up a bit. Our food is excellent. We eat out of our mess kits and wash them by walking along a line afterwards & scrubbing them in big vats and rinsing them in others. Love, Helen P.S. I'm going to need black shoe polish before long. Also anything to eat like candy of any kind, gingerbread or devils food mix, instant chocolate, etc.
