April 25, 1944 Dear Mother, The v-mail letter, one of the missing air-mails and number sixty-four arrived a day or so ago. Since then a bare spell. I hope by this time you have most of the letters I've been sending out since I came. I wish I could number them, as that is the only way to be sure they get through. Maybe I'll start when I get located & see how they go. Mrs. Dyke will be pleased at the spot, if he can let her know about it. Yes, the set-up will stay as it was. It won't be long till I get to work. There may be a scattering of others, but mostly Americans. There isn't a sample day's program because we aren't doing anything but eat, sleep, bicycle, shop, hike, and occasionally drill. I'll try to look up Ted. It is a bit hard as there are
