July 20 1945 G 25 England: The Scuttlebutt has been coming in regular. Dave I am not the only fellow here that likes to read it some of the other fellows in my outfit read it also. Since I am out of the infantry and a blue star commando don't work so hard. have a desk job now beats carrying a rifle. Dave guess my boy Karl likes you real well hope he does a good job for you, I sure miss the little devil. We had a big shipment going back to Rock Island Ill the other day had a notion to crawl into one of the boxes you know how bad we all like to get home. sure glad a lot of the fellows are getting back Thanks Dave for the papers, Sam PFC Sam C.
