be long until I'm back on the front line again. I understand ___ has command of the co now as Codrick was transferred to the supply co the day before we lost the old man. I had charge of the supplies the night we got gassed and when the show started I beat it for the ___ to resume my duties as a liaison man and ten seconds later a shell hit the supply shed and blew the shed rite in peices [sic] and everything that was in it ammunition, gas masks, pistols, ___, clothes and everything if I had stayed there two seconds longer I'd have been spread all over France but I've got the greatest luck in the world.
