Saving...
Troop A, 125 Cav. Sq. (Mecz.) A P.O. 758 c/o Postmaster New York, New York Aug. 25, 1945 Dear Dave, This wont be but a few lines this time. First I will appoligis for not writting often. I have had the time but nothing to write about. The second is the bad penny is actuly going to return to Good Old Washington. I expect to be there some time after the 15th of Sept. The third is going to be sorrow on my part, because I wont be getting SCHUTELBUTT any more. May I ask you to save a coppy of each weeks you send out after you receive this letter. I will still like to here what the boys have to say even though I am getting out of the Army. SCHUTELBUTT has come through faster than the other mail I receive and I always looked forward to the day it would come in. So did several other boys. It told about men they ment in the Cav. and could hardly wait untill I got it opend up so we could read it. Be [seeing?] you soon, Clarence [Cpl. Clarence E. Haifley]
