Camp Chicago Rheims Assembly Area Aug. 27, 1945 Dear Friend Dave, Today I received the seventy-third [drip?] and as always I enjoyed it greatly. I have been receiving "scuttlebutt" for over a year now - the time as come for me to tell you to drop me from your mailing list. I expect to be in the States by this time next month. I was originally scheduled to go direct to the Pacific but the end of the war found us here in in this redeployment
