1 Dec. [1945] Dear Dave; The day has come to which we all have been looking for since we left home. As of the 29 November I am a civilian. Will be home sometime next week. You can hold my journals until I get my new home address. And of course my "Scuttlebutt" will stop. I've certainly gotten a big help from it. Nothing like hometown news. Bye Ellie [Ellis I. Finke]
