Saving...
To Mr. + Mrs W.J. Graham West Union Iowa From M/Sgt. John W. Graham 371 464 Bomb Grp. 776 Bombay A.P.O 5207 Pm. New York June 13, 1944 Dear Dad + Mom: Have a few minutes so I'll try and get off line or two, that's about all there is to write anyway. Things are going along smoothly and the work is no harder than back in the states sometimes pretty long [hours?] tho. Sweat out the P.X line today and got my weekly rations, we have a card that is issued for a period of eight weeks and as you buy the items are checked off. It's a good fair way so everyone gets his share. Haven't had any mail for several days but one of these days I'll get a slug of it, the mail seems pretty sure to reach a fellow eventually and its good to get no matter how old. Still haven't seen the fellows from home guess they are busy and so am I. There aren't much chances to travel around anyhow but sometimes I'll get an opportunity I reckon. I should write to Grandmother haven't heard from her for a long time but suppose she'd like another letter. Have a movie again tonight it's a Wallace Beery one so I'll go. I've seen more movies over here than I have for a long time. We have the Farm + Home Hour broadcast sometimes and the Grand Old Opry you'd be surprised how many of the fellows go for that so I guess Dad isn't the only one that listens to it. Will close for now. Love, Johnny
