Saving...
To: Mr & Mrs W J Graham West Union Iowa Dear Dad & Mom: Yesterday I got the mail I've been expecting four letters from you but one was a month old and it took the others two weeks. They were good to get at any rate. Met another fellow I knew yesterday he was an engineer on one of the combat crews we trained last year was surprised he remembered me but I guess my bulk is something they don't forget. Dad got a good price for those two old cows he sold gosh I didn't realize they were that old. I was sorry to hear of Peter ((illegible) death, he was always such a jolly fellow and he used to drop in at the yard quite often to visit with Ole & Dad. Yes we listed to "Axis Sally" occasionally, the fellows get a big kick out of her programs she certainly fails to accomplish what is intended. It's been a long time since you'd heard from the Cagles hasn't it I'd almost forgotten them Don't know why the Blunts with all their money didn't build a new house instead of fixing up that old relic doesn't seem as tho there was anything to start with The only packages I've received were the air mail envelopes from you and those cough drops from Valdi. They will probably get here some time tho, do hope the stationary comes. Will close for now. Love Johnny
