Saving...
fuel pump from an airplane for the pressure and a little electric motor. The shower heads are regular squirt type oil cans with little holes punched in the bottom and the pipe welded on the top. Dont believe they will fill up with lime for the water seems very soft here. Doesnt require much water for the pump has a switch on it and only runs when you pull a string. Have a trailer tank that can be filled with water and hauled right up beside it so there is little labor connected with it. Had another slug of mail yesterday heard from you, Mrs Lynch, two fellows from my old outfit who are in England & a note from Chas. Kaeppel. One of your letters came thru in ten days, June fifteenth it was mailed. We have a hut fixed up down near my plane where we spend most of our time, it is closer to our work and much more convenient. Used the engine covers from the plane and some other pieces of canvas over a frame work of steel pipes we found, have made tables shelves, foot lockers etc so its really quite comfortable. There is a river near here where the boys have been going swimming, say its pretty good. Will try it myself one of these nights. Just finished cleaning up and picking up around our area, the rags and scrap stuff really accumulate around a ship if you dont keep picked up all the time. Guess I'll sign off for today Love Johnny
