Saving...
very steadily and have richly earned the twenty four hour pass. All are disapointed tho at the scarceness of articles to buy, everybody wants souvenirs and there just doesnt seem to be any available, except trash. Many of the fellows have found a place where they can buy cucumbers, tomatoes, eggs etc. so they have evening snacks that beat the mess halls cooking all hollow. There isn't any fresh fruit right now but expect peaches and plums will be ripe before too long, havent seen any but hear they have some. Dont know when the grapes ripen but presume they are all those little sour wine grapes and no good to eat. Will close for now- Love Johnny
