Saving...
One of them stings like the dickens dont know which it is but its almost like being stung by a bee. Its a wonder I havent been bee stung when we have jam on the chow line the bee's fairly swarm all over it. Guess thats easy picking for their honey gathering work. One of the fellows in our tent has hay fever and is really sneezing and snorting around I told him what Pop said about getting over it when you are over sixty five but he didnt seem much encouraged by that news somehow. This climate isnt good for hay fever victims I guess. Am breaking in a new pair of shoes today and they are warm. One good thing about G.I. shoes they do fit your feet or at least mine do. I wear size nine double E which is big enough to carry around this weight. Last night we had turkey which was pretty good, guess it came in frozen. Also had real potatoes so it was a great success. It's feast or famine tho in the army today we fell back to C-ration hash. The makers of that stuff are going to be mighty unpopular with the returning soldiers. Taint good, wouldnt even be good if it was well prepared. Guess this is all for today-- Love Johnny Say Mom I need a couple of three wash cloths if you'd send them please cant get any over here.
