[Oct. 26, 1917] Sun A.M. My Dearest Folks at Home:- This is a pretty good time to write as nearly the whole company have gone to church. The reason I didn't go is that I lent my over-coat to a fellow on guard last night and without it I would get cold over at the Y.M.C.A. where the meeting is held. This surely is a beautiful morning and makes me think of an autumn morning at home. Except that there are no trees or withered grass very close. Your most welcome letter
