Fri Nite. Nov 23 - 17 Dearest folks at home:- I got yours and Freds letter this evening and tho't I'd answer right away. I'll start this tonite and finish tomorrow or Sunday. Tonight one of our squad got a box from home and we ate coffee-cake bread and butter and cocoa from the mess hall for supper tonite. That home made bread and butter and coffee-cake surely tasted good. He also had some apples - good old Iowa apples. I generally eat quite
