battle when all is finished. Wont that be great sport tho? This afternoon after taking our usual physical exercise Lt. Brown sent us a message in the semiphore code. First we had had since up to Grinnell. I took the message all right tho and there were few fellows who couldn't. We've had it long enuf now to be able to receive and give pretty good. In a couple of days we are to take up the dots and dashes again. That is the hardest. Well I must get busy and answer some letters. Friday night. The night before inspection Right after supper The fellows are shining their shoes laying out clean clothes, etc. and getting ready, in general, for inspection in the morning. We have to be as neat as a pin, so to speak. Have to have two clean suits of underwear - one on and one laid out on the bed Also we have to lay out our tooth brush, comb, soap, a clean bath towel, clean dish towel and mess kit. Everything has to be arranged just right. I bought a wash board and can get my white clothes pretty white but my
