Camp Cody N.M. Jan. 27 - 1917 Dearest Folks at Home: It hasn't been very long since my last letter but I've nothing to do this evening, it being Sunday, so will improve my time by writing. We were allowed to rest all day today. There generally is a review or something of the sort going on. Its been raining by jerks all day not very hard but just enough to keep the ground damp. Max Moffitt, one of my tent mates, got a box of eats from home today. So none of us went up for dinner. I wasn't very hungry at supper time either so I went over to Cody town along with some of the other fellows and we ate a light lunch consisting of doughnuts
