so we couldn't drill. Wish it would rain oftener for that reason. This morning we went out about two miles northeast of camp and practiced going into action. Four gun teams were taken out of the company and the rest of them were supposed to watch us and discover us if they could. But it commenced to rain and we didn't get into action but got rather we coming back to camp. This afternoon the battalion went over to the Y.M.C.A. for thirty
