went 22 miles. Some hike wasn't it. I was never in better physical condition for hiking than I was that day. I believe I could have gone thirty miles that day. The next day we rested and I saw Clarke. You spoke about some of the boys not writing home very often. Lloyd Whetstine is all right and as well as ever. I saw Charley Stenniger several times to talk to him while we were out on the hike. He is looking fine, too. I didn't sleep much any night we were out. It was too cold. So I think I'll go to bed pretty soon. Now,
