Camp Cody N Mex. May 25 1918 Dearest Folks at Home: Outside the sand is blowing to beat the dickens and in here its but little better for this tent has so many holes in it that it affords little protection against the sand. We are supposed to have athletics this afternoon and I guess some of the fellows are playing ball but it suits me better to be inside where not so much of the sand reaches you. Three of us fellows just came from the stadium where they were going to have a track and field meet. But it was called off on account of the sand blowing so hard. This paper is just covered with it now. Your last letter came today and I'm so glad Papa is getting along so well. I had
