Saving...
when we were out having barrage drill I got an hour's sleep. We had eight men in our squad and I was the first man at the gun. All the fellows take their turn at the gun so pretty soon I went back and went to sleep and didnt wake up till the company was getting ready to start home. Tuesday our squad was on kitchen details. We got our work done up as quick as we could after dinner and then came down and went to sleep for a couple of hours. I intend to sleep this afternoon too so that will be four afternoons in succession that I have slept. Most Ive slept in the daytime for two months. Your letter came today - the one you wrote from Brown's. My, I'm so glad, Papa, that those sores healed up all right. I hope you and Mamma keep as well as I do. I never felt better than I do now. This would be the healthiest place
