May 19, 1944 Dear Mother, I guess I wrote last on Tuesday, so I'll continue. I got your letter seventy eight today, along with two v-mails, one from Mary and one from Marie Devlin, and a letter from Maureen. Your letter that I got day before yesterday I made some notes in an left over in the desk in my office, so I'll have to answer that later if there were any questions. I've been writing two or three letters a week, so you should get a bunch of them. I'm hopeful too, as there is sack after sack of packages being sorted tonight and I hope one or two of mine are there. If anyone has an urge to send me a package of bubble bath, preferably Shulton's I'd like it. The water is hard here, and we have plenty of it and nice tubs. The violets were lovely. Did they come from the spot by the hose faucet on the south side? I, too, would like to be home for the summer, but hope I can be before too many.
