Saving...
and a great variety of men, Royal Navy, Canadian & Australian RAF, American engineers, medics, ordnance, infantry, etc. The hospital sent a truck to bring us home and we had fun bouncing around. Somehow or other two English officers attached themselves to us and rode home with us. I think, as nearly as I could understand him, that I have a date with him for Sunday evening. That was the general concensus of the truck-load, anyway. His name is Charlie, and he is a good dancer. I don't think I'll care for him too much, but maybe he has a friend. Today was one of those days. Lin was off and also Helen C. so when a bunch of entertainers showed up I spent all day getting them transported, fed and led around on the wards to play to the men. Also in getting a portable organ to accompany them. After supper (steak) we went out to our garden to weed a little. Joyce also was planting (one?) & I helped her. Johnnie & I are taking our day off together next week on Tuesday and going Monday night to where I got the pin for you (at bottom London). Love Helen
