Saving...
over and we had beer and salami and fruit cake and all sorts of things Jay's brother in law gave her in London. We ended by all three of us working cryptoquotes at two thirty in the morning. I'm making a lovely white purse of knotted cord, as sort of a snare for the patients. I make things in the craft shop and before I know it they all want to make them. All the nurses and doctors are laughing at the mats, which the patients all started to make and which are in process of construction in every ward. We have very good attendance at our lounge and craft shop, and all in all it's working out beautifully. I'm going to another dance at Rhodes House tomorrow night. Hope it's as good as the last one. Today Polly gave me a sun lamp treatment and a massage as I have a stiff neck. Too much mat-making, no doubt. Today's papers tell of the false invasion news in the U.S. We weren't subjected to that, being in a position to judge things for ourselves. Love Helen
