When it came we were just going to bed, & thought it might be for pilotless planes. We can dress & get out in a couple of minutes & watched, but no excitement at all. No, I didn't meet Joe Louis, although I saw & heard him. The craft helpers, now numbering twelve, are all English. They are very nice and lots of help. I think I'm going to be over-whelmed with invitations when I'm free to accept them. That will be nice. Wish I could have been at Harshbargers with you. Yes, I agree about Wil's stories, unless they offer a sort of escape from war stories. So many of he men want anything but war books. I'll try to find Betty Harris. It sounds as though she'd be in an aero club or clubmobile for air fields, as there isn't a canteen like that in the city you mentioned as far as I know. Time to see if I can get a couple of other letters off before the company begins. Love Helen P.S. As I said, only cards for you & Betty till later!
