lounge and are trying three or four cigarettes with red & blue yarn for each tray. Do you remember how we celebrated on the porch last year? You might hear me on the Army Hour sometime, or at least some of us. They are broadcasting from here tonight and will on Sunday for a few weeks. I'm planning on going to one of those dances again Tuesday. Johnnie, Jay, & Polly are among those going. A box of food will always be welcome, particularly the kind that passes around well, we loved the orange slices. I wonder if you could send more gum drops. The mock orange still smells sweet. They are out here now, and the air is sweet with them and the gorgeous roses. Don't worry about the material. That was just a suggestion and I know we'll like whatever you send. I hear Jay coming, so good night. Love Helen
