much. I just came back from the officers club where I had a Scotch. It's about eleven thirty and I think Jay is celebrating. She didn't have any chits but I have a bunch she is doing all right. Thursday I took six patients on the same steamer trip Jay & Polly and I took. It just poured and they felt so sorry for me that they insisted on holding their field jackets over me. Luckily, they were orthopedic patients and pretty tough customers, so they weren't injured. All of them were paratroopers and they showed me their souvenirs on the way. For a polite bunch of young men, they certainly got around. Tomorrow I expect I'll sleep till noon and then work in the shop, marking the new tools that came in, cutting patterns and visiting a few wards. Love Helen
