Saving...
Today we slept till noon. Then we went down town & took an English-Speaking Union tour of the buildings and grounds. I was amazed at the age of many of the buildings, especially libraries, as they are so well preserved, Very nice. We got through about 4:30 and had tea. We went to a movie - The Lodger & Cabin in the Sky, both good. We were in the queue waiting for our bus when a captain asked us if we were going to the hospital and asked us to ride in a taxi he'd called. He was a patient. So we got home fast. We went to the kitchen and came home with more chicken and bread & butter. We made coffee and found some apple pie we'd gotten in last night's raid. So now we're purring contentedly. The only trouble with such feasts is that we eat rather fast, for fear of being caught. Rooming with a dietician has distinct advantages. Love Helen
