Saving...
time here. Today Mrs. Roseberg, the President's secretary visited the hospital and talked quite a while with me in the craft shop. She seemed nice. I wrote Mrs. Dewey yesterday and just had to send it Iowa City, as I didn't know her address now. I had a nice letter from Don yesterday also. He had been in Rio de Janiero. Your letters received are fourteen, fifteen and seventeen. Sixteen came way early in five days, I believe. The first four big package have come. We are having small, rather firm tomatos from our kitchen raised plants that now are in front of the office. I pick and eat one every little while. Today one of my volunteers, Mrs. Coster, brought me a nice sack of plums from her tree. The reason I don't like to wear my cap is that I've worn it constantly since October. It is not too fresh and is quite hot in warm weather and is wearing a think spot in my hair. Yes, that is my Kodak. The building was one facing the Avon. I don't know the name of it. No bomb damage in Stratford. - Yes, I got the chocolate in Betty's package. They all come well and are intact. I think your trick of sewing them up in cloth is good. I should say I am glad I came in. I wouldn't have missed it for anything
