Saving...
Jay and I want to take a forty-eight hour leave this week or next and go to a coastal resort. I'm homesick for the sea. It was so lovely in Wales. I wish we could get there, but it is out of the question. We'd like best to go to Plymouth if we can make it, or Bournemouth. I still like my permanent as well as any I've had. It is a great comfort when it is raining, as it has been for the last few days. Tomorrow I get up late, but it is a quarter to six one for Jay, so she is peacefully sleeping, and I think I'll join her. A wasp stung her on the little finger today and made her quite unhappy. Our cupboard is well under control except for the hot chocolate, and we're plugging away on that and, incidentally, loving it. It is excellent with powdered milk as we make it and almost every evening we have a guest or so. I've given the volunteers some of my rations, so they haven't piled up. Love, Helen
