Saving...
Nellie is sort of back, but not well, and I wouldn't be surprised if she went home. She's quite a bit older than we are, and that may be it. Comfort articles are tooth brushes, paste, combs, soap, cigarettes, etc. that we take at once to battle casualties a few hours after they arrive here. I'll believe Mary's great plans when I see her in Russia or somewhere like that. I think her travelling is like her drinking, hot air! Gretchen's letter was fun. All the girls read it and agreed that they would now appreciate water more than ever. I'm working tomorrow morning, as I did Sunday because we hope Jay will get a three day leave & she & Helen C. & I want to go to Plymouth, or somewhere in Devon next week. It's too late about the Christmas as far as Betty W. is concerned, as she has a lovely locket that cost about twenty five dollars. I'm going to shop for a few small things tomorrow & will send the box to you. I like the picture taken from by the pool the best, I think, though they're all lovely. What card ideas I have now. Just wait till I get home! Love, Helen
