My permanent is much as usual. It was a typical small suburban place, just like home except that you have your head down frontwards to be shampooed the water & soap run into your eyes. It cost f2., or about eight dollars. I don't know whether we'll stick together or not, when & if. It depends on where the unit goes, of course. I'm sure I won't be coming home, however for some time yet. Aunt Blanche said in her letter that was why you wouldn't come out. It may be just an excuse, but if you want to go, do go ahead as I'm sure I won't be there. Even if I got back to the States during a winter I could come on to California as easily as not. So suit yourself & use the money as you wish to keep you comfortable & contented. The patients are making felt animals & string cigarette cases mainly. Yes, they send stuff home. I hope to visit Maureen for a week the end of this month if I get my leave from London. Love, Helen
