Saving...
get ready to go instead. I won't have a lot of time tomorrow as I go right after supper to London. Your letter twenty eight came today. Too bad about Ruth Freligh. It's a family that would make a good O'Neill play anyway, isn't it? I wish we could buy that garden lot. In fact, I wish we'd done it while Mr. Koser had it. It's just about a year ago [Vicki?] Fran and I were both discussing our plans. How glad I am that they worked out so well. Yes, I enjoy the Iowan and pass them on to those interested. The Army Hour is through here, at least they have packed up their equipment that they kept in the latrine. We have an English ration book for food just in case we are called from our unit, but don't ever use it. We don't ever buy rationed civilian things as we get everything we need through the army, even underwear. I got coupons from the Detachment commander for my trip. Although they are for nine days according to our colonel, they amount to three weeks civilian rations. Helen C. says maybe that will enable them to put up with me where I'm going.
