Saving...
October 24, 1944 Dear Mother, Your letters forty and forty one arrived today, after quite a little gap. Mail seems to come in bunches now. I suppose it's due partly to Christmas packages. You know, when I wrote you about the packages being a problem it was at a time when everything was a problem. I was tired, trying to do too much and, if you remember, I was also a bit annoyed. I think our group was lucky; most of the girls who came over spend several weeks in the hospital to recover from the first burst of work and worry. That was as near as I came to it. Now we can all do many times the work, enjoy it a lot and take everything in stride. Packages are not a problem, but a pleasure whether we consume them ourselves or pass them on in bits to our friends here. The thing I want to be sure of is that you do what is easy and convenient for you. That picture of us in "full dress" was taken in Llandudno the town in Wales where we were. I guess I can tell you now that our boat was the Aquitania, and a swell gas she is, too. The best riding of all, and as fast as they come. We are hearing many football games
