Saving...
liked the food, as she does twice a week, a fellow called her over and said, "What do you think I found in the bread?" She braced herself and said "What?" He said, "a thread from the flour sack." She laughed merrily and said, "That's nothing; you ought to see what I found!" and he thought she was kidding! I don't eat the bread anyway, because, like the whole wheat, it makes me break out awfully. I'm just getting over my Glasgow trip in that respect. I guess we're going to the Cotswolds again this week-end. Probably Polly will go with us. I forgot to thank you for the raisins and the stationery. We're going to concoct a fruit cake, we hope. By the way, here are some things I'd like: Some of your plum pudding in a can. Brown sugar to go with it. Some round metal hair curlers if you can get them. A couple of boxes of deodorant - [Lor-odo?], bought at [Boerners?]. Some of the white cotton slips I sent home (I like them). A couple of bottles of Revlon nail polish, a little darker than Windsor; about like the Chenyu color Blue Moss. Hand cream. Love, Helen
