lunch at five to one. We had lunch (roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, etc). Then Margaret hurried back to work and we four went to the movies. We saw The Story of Dr. Wassell. Pretty good but I'm bored stiff at movies these days. They seem so creaky as to plot and plausibility. We caught a bus home in time for dinner. We got a new teakettle which will heat enough water for us and four guests, which will save lots of treks up and down the hall. Since they took our canteens, etc from us last week we've been lost. We also got forks and a knife. Joyce just stopped in with two sandwiches for us made from bread she got in London this afternoon. It's rye, and good for a change. The Jordans brought me some lovely patterns for felt animals we had discussed last weekend. We're going out to Whitehall again Saturday fortnight and I guess Polly and Johnnie are to go and stay with Mrs. Jordan. Then I think we'll go to London for a
