Saving...
portfolio of patterns to work out, as I want to keep the patterns of all the toys we are making, both for bringing home and for re-cutting patterns when they get worn down. I locked myself in, as these wistful men (kepe?) drifting in and wanting to help. I have to have at least one time in the week to work alone. It refreshes my soul, or something. There was lovely symphony music on the radio in the lounge, for a change, so I got a lot done and enjoyed it too. There's a book I'd like to get Jay for Christmas. I'm going shopping Wed. afternoon and see if I can find it. Then I'd like to manage some red gloves (knit) for the other Red Cross girls and a little something for Polly and Johnnie. Then a small box of soap and eats for each of my volunteers and one for Maureen. No, I didn't have a nut in my mouth. It must just have been my tongue in my cheek. Nellie is American. She is forty-one and has been over for over two years. She was in Ireland, then in Bath and then here with the old hospital (2nd General) for about six months before we came. She is a librarian by profession, but good in other things too. I like her more and more. We have very few flies here, no screens. It is grass on the ground, no matter what it looks like.
