Saving...
clouds, the vapor paths turned luminous and rosy and the bombers hung like silver fish. It's unbelievably beautiful and vast and there'll never be a show like it. The whole sky full of man-made clouds! The again later in the day the same sort of thing, except that there was also a faint rainbow in the thin vapor overhead. So when you read in the paper about air activity you can think that maybe I'm seeing something lovely. Since the RAF party I've been off night life. I hope I can stay off till Mrs. Goddard's party the twelfth. It really takes up so much time "and I'd rather read." I guess we'll make some soup now and then play a game or so and go to sleep. I can sleep till noon tomorrow. My tan is increasing daily. I now get two and three quarter minutes. Can you send some more sardines? We're about out. I gave Dorothy a can because she lost one in the craft shop and was upset about it. I had fresh grapefruit this morning. I didn't go to breakfast, but found one on my dresser when I woke up. Polly had brought it. Love, Helen
