Saving...
Jan. 10, 1945 Dear Mother No more letters since I wrote, but package twenty four came in good shape. I immediately used the curlers and gadget and am curly as can be. We have just acquired a beauty operator on the post now, so I ought to be able to keep things under control. The hand cream is well, the nail polish just what I wanted. Also the deodorant cream. The fudge came in perfect condition and we've enjoyed it. We (Polly, Jay and I) had sardines on the zwieback last night and it was delicious. Could you send some more? The figs are very good and the Kotex makes fine packing plus. Thank you, my dear. Still no package with the Bonfire lipstick. Could you get more, do you think? I'm about out, and of course that package would go astray. I got a nice letter from Betty W. about the locket. I'm glad she was so pleased. Helen C. is here today packing her things. I gave her a short course in crafts this afternoon, as she is the only one in her unit who has even seem them. She has a pretty uphill set-up. Polly and Lin are coming up the hall so I'd better stop. By the way, any reports you may read about the Germans running tanks through the wards of one of our hospitals on the continent are true. Love, Helen
