from back home just doesn't seem as urgent as one might think. I also must phone Dora or write her. She phoned me some time ago. I would like to see her. Tell Fran I think there is an obvious answer as to why they hear more from canteen people than from hospital people right now! Every hospital R.C. unit I know of is so woefully understaffed right now that I wonder why they keep on trying! The rate of flow of patients through the hospitals is terrific and we do well to make a dent in the need there is. It's too bad they couldn't have kept a steady stream of trained girls coming over so that when the pay-off came they didn't have to strip units to make up new ones. Time to blackout now. I'll write more in a day or so when I have more pep. Love, Helen
