How did you like "While Still We Live?" I read it and liked it. Jay has it now. Yes, that was a tent hospital I spoke about. We had a nurse patient from there. Yes, it's about the same in London. Joyce had an interesting experience last week. Our requisitions go to London and they fill them from the warehouse there, either by truck or train. My new summer uniform came from Washington but not the raincoat yet. I think I'll investigate. We got officers PX clothing coupons this week. We'll be able to get both army stuff and our own. The ration is quite generous - more than I've been buying. I have several things I want on my next trip to London. Gin and lime or orange makes quite a pleasant cocktail before dinner. It's cool and clinky and I can't bear Scotch or beer. The fellows by the unlocked door weren't scared, just capricious. If it had been locked they'd have been inside. I imagine the shop is about as far from my room as the bridge over the track is from you. The buildings are single story, heated by one plant and in is about three chunks. Most are connected by open ramps (open on the sides with a roof. Then there are separate (illegible) but wards too, with a roofed ramp connecting them. Whitehall will be swell to bicycle to when summer comes and the days are longer. That is, if I'm still here. We're being asked if we'd be willing to go to the continent. (Red Cross) and of course I'd be more than willing. This is routine now and though I love the place, the old spring fever is coming on. I wouldn't have liked it in winter but now it's different.
