Saving...
What a nice program for the basketball. Especially a year when more people have to listen to the games than can see them. It won't hurt to keep up interest. Briefly, the week was full because we went to Whitehall Tuesday night, Jay got a sore throat there and came home ill Wednesday night. I did what I could for her here Thursday, but Friday morning they decided they didn't like the look of her throat, so they moved her down to Ward 29, where she still is, chipper as can be, but not allowed out yet. I'm glad she went down as she will get a good rest, too. If there had been more than four of us, I think I'd have enjoyed a week of leisure instead of the part time business I did when I was sick. I steered clear of everyone till I was over it, but the chief nurse was most suspicious when I croaked at her in greeting. I got both our washings ready for the laundry, worked Friday night, went to a party at the club Sat. night and entertained (along with Polly) Margaret Jordan (the 16 yr. old daughter) Sat night and till this noon. Then Johnnie and I went to hear a very good string group playing at Baliol in the big dining hall. It was good and we just got back. Love, Helen Note I remember that one of the selections was Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
