Saving...
February 27, 1945 Dear Mother, Two nice letters from you, one from Helen Foche and box thirty three came yesterday. The letters were fourteen and fifteen. Seems to me there's been a gap. The box came in fine shape. We are hoarding the Rusk till we have a special celebration and the wieners for our first picnic, which will be coming very soon. Today would have been perfect. The leaves are out on the lilacs and roses and the dandelions are blooming. They are furrier than ours, and the foliage is longer and darker green. I was glad to get the Bonfire, although as you know, number seventeen finally came through. Could you send me the large sized jar of Charles of the Ritz Complexion veil, camellia color? Also a box of Dr. Lyon's tooth powder, some more Bathasweet, some golden blonde and golden brown hair rinses (Nestles, London, or something like them) and if you can find it, a bottle of Fleur d'amour sachet (Roger & Gallet). How's that for an order? The seed catalogue is beautiful. I looked up some of the things I see here and would like to try when I get home. We think the idea of the Sears catalogue a very good one. I haven't received the letter with income blanks, except a sample one you sent some time ago. I don't see why it's necessary to do anything more than fill out the blanks I have filled out, but it's OK if that won't do. There isn't any hurry at all because I don't have to pay it now. I looked it up just now and it seems you wanted me to send it back. I'm not going to figure it
