example. Polly is going out then too. Then to complicate things, Dora Dykins phoned that she was in town last night and today. I stopped off on my way from Jay's place to see her and had a nice visit for an hour or so. She looks well, and is the same old girl. She had a nice friend with her, one of the nurses of her unit. The boxes, twenty eight and thirty-two were lovely. We delight in the rusk, we ate the last box with a can of Polly's home canned chicken. The plastic clothes pins are just what I wanted. If you ever see any more, send me some as I'd like to give some to Jay. The apricots are very good. Polly is going to make fudge or a pie with the Eagle Brand. I think Maureen will be very pleased with the stationery. I'll pack up some other things and make a box. The pressed ham will go on one of our first picnics. I have a new electric plate, so will make soup as well. I'm glad to have another lipstick. The letters were sixteen, seventeen, eighteen and twenty two. Helen Ciancimino was here for the weekend to see Joyce, who is in the hospital. Just tired out from overwork. She'll go on a leave for a week or so now. Helen looks fine, and has a flat in London, where she is doing publicity work. I want to
