week they have surely made us sweat. Trying to see how much we can stand I guess. Friday morning we took full packs with equipment "A" and went out to the polo grounds. Pitched tents there, had inspection then drilled till 12:30. Had thirty minutes in which to eat our sandwich (cheese and egg) then drilled again till 2:30. Took down the tents and came in. One or two fellows got too hot on the way out and had to fall out. I'm not afraid of that for I have stood as much as the rest of the fellows and felt just as good or better than they. I weigh 140 lbs. now. Lost ten pounds since hot weather came on but am feeling fine. Gee I'd hate to be
